Parcels' Environmental Condition:
Between 1849 and 1965, the Parcels were used as a coal degasification facility, leaving residual contamination that has been undergoing remediation under a Voluntary Response Action Program (VRAP) approved by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection. Use of the Parcels is subject to limitations on extraction of groundwater and excavation.
